Do Christians always expect God to be a Deus ex machina whenever there is a problem?

Or do they actually try to resolve their problems like atheists do.Do Christians always expect God to be a Deus ex machina whenever there is a problem?
Well, if God comes from a machine, he's a deus ex machina by definition.

Which is to say, the entire Bible is predicated on a poor literary device ;)
So many of there myths are along that vein that I rather think they do. There are numerous "sayings": "Let go and let God." "Give it to God." "Pray for guidance." etc

It sometimes causes a worldview clash. Christians believe in abject obedience of their God and that can often bleed into expecting abject obedience by certain groups, like children in a classroom for example. The children of atheists, pagans, Buddhists, and other nonAbrahamic faiths are often taught to think critically and are allowed to ask questions of teachers. The difference in expectations can sometimes make a nonChristian child appear to have authority issues to a teacher who expects abject obedience.Do Christians always expect God to be a Deus ex machina whenever there is a problem?
When it's solved, it's god's help that we did it.

If it's not, than it's a trial that god gives us to better ourselves.

So, it should be put like that: Atheists, like Christians, resolve their problems with the help of god. They just don't realize it, or don't want to admit it.

God bless.
God, in His word, tells us to cast all our cares on Him because He cares for us. He says in all things to turn to Him and ask His guidance. So we do that because we know He is a loving God who desires to give us good things.

Yes, I know you atheists are left to your own devices. I'm sorry for you.Do Christians always expect God to be a Deus ex machina whenever there is a problem?
i agree with you on the deus ex thing, but its not just christians that do it, and some dont , ive met a few on here who are happy to accept there is no real 'answer'

but its true, people need an answer, so just find one, even if it doesnt make sence or isnt actually an answer
Some Christians probably do. And others live by the adage: God helps those who help themselves. On the other hand, if you proceed to help yourself before giving God a chance to act, is that showing a lack of faith?
Well, cathos are always talking about the father, the son and the holy deus. I don't think they like machines either, they used to kill anyone who invented one.
Atheists do. It's their second most popular argument against the existence of "God".
We believe, (not expect) we can solve or overcome all the problems and trouble by the Grace of God, Cos we know He loves us.
I solve my problems with Gods help.
Your cool for referencing Greek theatre though...

God Bless.
What you said: deus ex machina

What my small brain thinks that means: can transform into vehicles
Yes, they do
