Unless of course you believe that the collection is Divine, but then your question is answered and you would appear quite stupid. Which is it ?Do you find the Bible uses the Deus ex Machina plot device a bit too much for it to remain credible?
A "Deus ex Machina" is generally a plot device in fiction where a God(or another unlikely circumstance) solves the heroes' problem for them with minimal effort. The problem is, in the Bible, God(or another unlikely circumstance) is not only the solution to, but also the cause of, all of the heroes' problems.
You didn't use that phrase correctly.
In the Bible God creates the machine. If you deny God as the Creator then why not make THAT the point of your post. If you don't, then you must bide by my correction.
Anyway, the Bible teaches that it is NOT to be thought always credible !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For example, JUDGES 21:15
The people were still disconsolate over Benjamin because the LORD had made a breach among the tribes of Israel
Had made a breach: what is here attributed to God was in reality the free and deliberate act of the Israelites and happened only by the permissive will of God.
Now go read that part of Judges. It is undeniable that the Bible is showing that GOD DID NOT do it, they did, and they took the route you are taking.
They were wrong, and you are wrong. But you are more wrong.Do you find the Bible uses the Deus ex Machina plot device a bit too much for it to remain credible?
The bible look like bad fiction filled with Deus ex Machina, when just then out of nowhere the best writer in the world came along and made it good.
Bad fiction IS bad fiction.Do you find the Bible uses the Deus ex Machina plot device a bit too much for it to remain credible?
it uses a deus ex mythology and has zero credibility
The Bible isn't an ancient Greek play. I think you have your literature confused.
Hahaha! I never looked at it that way. Well done.
There is a lot of "God did this, therefore it makes sense" in there...
Yes, way too much!
no
